Jeneen and Michael work across all disciplines which include  financial statement preparation and independent reviews, for companies, trusts, non-profits, attorneys, estate agencies and more.  Assurance services are also offered by Jeneen Galbraith which include DTI film industry rebate work.

Jeneen Galbraith

Managing Director

Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1996 with PWC and a Chartered Management Accountant, Professional Accountant and Registered Auditor. Jeneen has worked in London and was a senior financial analyst for GlaxoSmithKline before moving into public practice. Jeneen is married and a mom of four children and enjoys mixing family life with outdoor activities.

Michael Rushby

Michael Rushby

Managing Director

Qualified as a member of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants in 2004 and is also a practicing member of CIMA.  Specialized in tax with a post graduate higher diploma in taxation. Michael is married and a dad of three, he enjoys any outdoor sports, surfing, and mountain biking.

Danielle Guignet

Internal Accounts Manager

Danielle has worked in various fields from Account Management in IT, to stores management.  She is very dedicated to her role as head of internal accounts and admin department.  She is a mom of two children and one of which is a Rare Disease child. She enjoys walking and loves to explore what Cape Town has to offer.

Lizette van Rensburg

Lizette Janse van Rensburg

Tax Department Manager

Lizette is a Professional Accountant (SA) and has a B. Com Financial Accounting degree as well as a B. Com Honours in Tax, both from the University of Pretoria. Her love for tax started during her article years and soon after completing her articles she started as a Junior Tax Consultant in the Global Employment Income Solutions Department at Deloitte. Since then, she held positions at various companies as Senior Accountant, Senior Tax Consultant, Company Secretary and Tax Manager. 

Genna Lezar

Audit Department Manager

Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2018 and is a practicing member of SAICA and a Registered Candidate Auditor with the IRBA. Genna served her articles at Galbraith Rushby and has been with the firm for 12 years.  Genna is a mom of three small children and enjoys quiet family time when she is not working.

Chantal Thompson

Tyger Valley Office Manager

Chantal served her articles at Galbraith Rushby while successfully completing her studies via University of South Africa part time.  Qualified as member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SA) as a Chartered Accountant and is in the process of registering as candidate auditor with IRBA. She loves to read a good book, enjoy a good wine and relax with the family in her spare time.

Lynn Sevenster

Lynn Sevenster

General Manager & Payroll Department Manager

Lynn has a wealth of experience ranging from the banking sector, where she spent 15 years and then moved to property management, where she spent 9 years. She then joined Galbraith Rushby 12 years ago in the payroll department. Lynn now heads up our Office Management, HR and Payroll departments.  Lynn is married and has 1 child. Her passion is woodworking and song writing.

Ursula Thomas

Ursula Thomas

Accounting Department Manager

Ursula graduated in 2001 with a BBA Degree in Financial Management and has over 20 years’ experience in bookkeeping combined with 10 years in various managerial roles.  Originally from Zimbabwe, she moved to Cape Town in May 2009 and has been here ever since.  In her free time she enjoys reading novels and solving crosswords and puzzles.

Carin Houliston

Carin Houliston

Front Office Manager

Carin grew up in Johannesburg and relocated to Cape Town in 1989 where she started her career as a personal assistant. She made the move to administration/client services about 25 years ago and has received numerous accolades for her service in this field.  Carin has been with Galbraith Rushby for 6 happy years and strongly believes that as the ‘first port of call’ to Galbraith Rushby, the front desk/client service team needs be a remarkable experience for clients.
